Art Meets Poetry at The New Art Gallery Walsall

Few of my art inspired the poets of Walsall Society of Poets

Artwork: Elysium

Poem by Ian Henery, based on the coversation with me about my creative process Ian wrote this Poem

Title: Elysium

Sun is disappearing

Among the cloudy dark skies.

Birds fly to seek refuge

In the hastening twilight.

Golden light

appears

Beneath the concave bowl they call

“the sky“.

Faraway trees appear as silhouettes

Reflected on the water

As evening mist gathers and swirls

Like dancer in the gathering gloom.

Does this place even exist

Or is it just a dream

As the world turns to slumber?

Artwork: Twilight’s Choice

Poem by Ian Henery, based on the coversation with me about my creative process Ian wrote this Poem

Title: Twilight’s Choice

Everything changes

Through the mingling of dark and light.

Is it sky or water, my mind wonders?

Light is calling with golden dreams,

My Mind wonders where I am.

Is it sky or water where I am

Light is calling, my mind wonders?

Everything changes with golden dreams,

Through the mingling of dark and light.
